The mission of Westminster Dramatics Society is to provide educational opportunities for young adults in performing, directing, producing, designing and script writing. We aspire for our students to understand drama and its significant role in society as we believe that involvement in the arts benefits children of all ages; whether it is participation on stage, behind the scenes, or in the audience.
Westminster Dramatics Society is comprised of a group of students who serve as enthusiastic, dynamic, and dedicated theatre advocates. We take pride in producing some of the most popular school productions in the twin cities including Neil Simon’s, ‘Fools’ , “Barefoot in the Park” Ray Cooney’s “Out of Order” and Chekov’s A Jubilee and The Bear.

“Becoming the Vice President of the Drama Society was probably my finest decision as it gave me the opportunity to attend acting workshops directed by renowned actors like John Samaha. I owe my confidence and communication skills to my drama teacher who ensured I was able to engage in impromptu acting which helped improve my confidence and creativity. All the teachers at Westminster are very committed towards education and focus on every individual to achieve their very best.
I’m extremely grateful to have been part of a school which is committed to education, engages curiosity, and has trained me to think out of the box.”

“It was an honour being the Head of Westminster’s Dramatic Society from 2020 to 2022, because even in spite of the hardships we faced with Covid regulations, our resilience, and our love for theatre, powered us through. It’s been an incredible learning experience for me, working with such talented people these past few years, and I can’t wait to see where their potential will take them. And more importantly, I can’t wait for the Annual Play happening this summer, our first one since Covid first struck!”
