The Westminster Dramatics Society’s Annual Play 2024 provided audiences with a triple treat!

COMEDY CHRONICLES featured three one-act plays that had people laughing out loud. From the competitive tug of war between old and new friends, real and ghostly in Warm the Bones, to the scheming sisters fighting over their supposedly dead father’s possessions in The Dear Departed, to the melodrama unfolding in an extremely ordinary couple’s humdrum existence in The Man in the Bowler Hat, the stories were seamlessly told and flawlessly acted by the young performers.

Of special note were the complex character work of the actors and the perfect timing of the comedy, a testament to the exceptional directorial finesse of Fizza Hasan and Imran Iftikhar. Their guidance undoubtedly elevated the performances to new heights, captivating the audience from start to finish. The set and props team also deserve special mention, for the eye-catching house interior and the attention to detail.

We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next year!
